Before we decide to get the blood test done, we also went to Dr. Wong Clinic in Tangkak which he applied kinesiology type of treatment. I did not really record on Adeena's progress with Dr. Wong as we went there for two times only. Hence, I don't have much information to share with you on the treatment.
Back to the blood test.
We were advised by Adeena's doctor to do the blood test so that we can control her foods and activities. The blood was taken at Johor Specialist Hospital. However, they did not run the test there. Adeena's blood specimen was sent to Johor Allergy Services and the result came in 2 weeks.
As you can see in the picture above, there are many colour bars which indicate the level of her allergy, and red colour indicate very high.
And these are my enemies rating :-
- Soy bean - High
- Cow's milk - Very high
- Egg white - Very high
- Egg yolk - Very high
- Shrimp - Moderate
- Wheat - Very high
- Peanut - Very high
- Farinea mite - Very high
- Pterony mite - Very high
The result came together with an advise on how we can control these allergies.
Cow's milk has been the very first allergen that we know Adeena could not tolerate even a bit. It surprised us that she is allergic to soy bean as well as this is the milk that she is consuming now. So we decided to give a try on hypo-allergenic based, from semi to extensive hydrolised milk. Unfortunately, it still gave same reaction like cow's milk. We asked the doctor on how it can possibly happen when they say these milks are the best alternative for a case like Adeena's. Well, the doctors are just human. We cannot rely 100% on the blood test result and their suggestion.
Adeena still consumes soy based milk (Insomil) since the reaction is not as bad as others milk. She does sometimes get her rashes and flu on and off.
According to the result, Adeena is not allergy to chicken. I once cooked her an organic chicken with olive oil and garlic. When I gave her a tiny pieces of the chicken, she gets so excited and kept saying delicious. I almost bust into tears. All this while she only eat rice and vegetables. And so I thought she is really not allergy to chicken, not after 2 hours. She started to scratched her body and tiny red bump appeared on her skin. It really broke my heart. Again, do not rely 100% on the blood test result.
I am still trying to find alternatives for Adeena to taste the foods that she cannot eat. There is an allergen-free food brand called Orgran which I do some try and error for Adeena. If I can gather much information on this trial, I will surely share with on future post.
P/s: I just share based on my own experience and I'm not a doctor. In any kind of health matters, please consult the doctor first.
